Amrop Appoints New Practice Co-Leader for Consumer & Retail

The Amrop Partnership appoints Kelly Freeman as new co-leader of the global Consumer & Retail Practice. Based in Toronto, Kelly will co-lead the practice together with Lucie Shaw (UK), who continues to serve in this function since 2021.

Kelly's strong sector expertise and North American frame of reference add valuable elements to Amrop's global practice team.

Kelly Freeman is a Partner at Amrop Rosin in Canada, leading the emerging talent business, with a focus on retail, consumer goods, financial services and technology. 

With extensive sales and marketing experience, Kelly is focused on building a premium experience within mid-management search, leveraging the strategic focus of executive search and customizing for the emergent talent tier.

Prior to joining Amrop Rosin, Kelly was a seasoned marketing executive spending over 13 years across Canadian and global retail and consumer packaged goods organizations. With a strong focus on consumer understanding and consensus building, Kelly’s direct and transparent style ensures clarity and expectations are well established for all searches.

Before moving into search, Kelly won several awards for product innovation, business excellence and was regularly profiled in trade publications.

Kelly holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Outside of work, she is an alumni mentor at the Schulich School of Business, volunteers on her children’s school boards and is an active member of the community. She’s an avid athlete, traveler, scuba diver, snowboard instructor and loves to cook.
